Buddy
| Buddy was put in a dog house and the entrance closed up with cement
blocks (during days that we had been having 85 and 90 degree weather) "because he
keeps getting in the flower beds". A woman visiting there heard the small dog
whining and asked about it. The man asked if she wanted the dog because otherwise he
was going to kill it. Although she knew that she could not keep Buddy, she took him
home with her. That is how Buddy ended up in rescue. He was covered with fleas and flea "dirt" and had raw places from the bites. The inside of his ears was raw from the flea bites. He stunk from being shut in the dog house where he had to relieve himself. In the pictures above, Buddy has been bathed, brushed, and rid of fleas. He will be wormed, receive vaccinations and be neutered before adoption. His teeth are clean and white. His age is about 1-2 years old. He is not aggressive with cats and gets along and plays well with other dogs near his size or smaller. He does not like larger dogs, so I can only guess that he has had a bad experience with a larger dog. |
