Collie mom and 5 pups rescued - abandoned at dumpsters

There are 5 puppies - 4 males and  1 female.   All of them look like Black Labs, so daddy must have been a purebred or close Black Labrador.   One pup has a splash of white on its chest and a couple of them have a few white toes.  Other than that they are smooth black coated.   I think the mom is a rough coat Collie.

Update 6/28/04:   These pups are going east on June 30 to a rescue where they have preapproved adopters for Lab puppies.  They are also taking the mom who will be fostered until they find her a home.

Update 7/7/04:  Two of the pups have been placed in their new homes.  The Collie mom is being fostered by Collie rescue where she will be spayed and brought UPD on vaccinations, etc. before being adopted.
