Tinker - taken 3 days after coming into rescue (Oct. 11, 2004)
Update: Nov. 1, 2004
Tinker is doing very well and the hair is growing back around his eyes. He seems to have already been house-trained, but he is also being crate trained. I do know know what Tinker's name was in his past life. The shelter had given the other two neglected dogs names, but poor Tinker did not even have a name - probably because the shelter volunteers thought that he had no chance of being adopted. This is a dog that craves love and wants to please. He is smart and learns fast. When I let him back inside I can just say "Tinker, go get in your house" (crate) and he goes right away. Then he gets a small treat. He was listed as a Poodle mix at the pound. There is definitely Poodle there and I think perhaps Maltese because of the silkiness of his hair and shape of the head. He has some spots that are a very light apricot color. A couple of spots are visible in the picture on the right below. Tinker now weighs 18 lbs. (weighed 17 lbs. on Oct. 7)
