Sydney
About a year ago Sydney showed up at someone's house where they fed him and he just decided to stay. They heard of no one looking for a dog of his description. After a year they phoned the pound to have him picked up! The assistant dog warden told one of the volunteers of SAVE JUST ONE, Charlene Burgin, about "a pretty dog that he thought should be very adoptable". Charlene began immediately with plans to rescue him and phoned several rescue groups to arrange for him to enter a foster home. One day before his time was up (scheduled to be put-down), she signed for him at the Lee Co. pound to free him. He was taken to the vet where he was neutered, received vaccinations, heartworm check, and was boarded until transport was arranged to send him to a Keeshond Rescue group in North Carolina. The North Carolina Keeshond rescue group will care for him in a foster home until he finds a "forever home". The fosters report that he gets along well with children, cats, and other dogs. He was already housebroken. A real sweetheart! If you are interested in adopting Sydney, please contact Charlene by email at CharleneB@naxs.net and she will forward it to the rescue group fostering Sydney.
