| Ruby needs a foster or permanent home ASAP. (8/26/02) She is being relinquished by the owner because they can no longer care for her. Ruby is approximately 3 years old, 75-80 lbs., spayed, house trained, good with other dogs and cats. She has not been around small children, so it is not known how she is with them. Update 9/4/02 Ruby has been adopted. There were several good applications received to adopt Ruby, but the best choice for her seemed to be one from a man (retired teacher) who has had Weimeraners most of his life and had recently lost his. Ruby's new home is in Missouri, 16 acres, with a restored 1920's twenty room home that her "dad" operates as a Bed & Breakfast. Ruby will have a companion - a neutered male Saint Bernard that was also rescued about a year ago. Ruby's new adoptive dad drove all the way from Missouri to rural Virginia to get her.
