Poor dirty, matted Petie - as he arrived at rescue in August, 2004.

Petie was picked up as a stray and his owner never came to claim him.   Petie is a "Labradoodle" - a Black Lab and Poodle mix.  He is young, approximately 1 - 2 yrs. old, weighs 33 pounds.  He is not very big - just long legs and big feet.  Petie has been neutered and is up to date on all vaccinations.  He is  now looking for his forever home.  Adoption fee: $100.00

This would have been a cute pic if I was not such a lousy photographer and chopped off the top of his head.

Petie is one of the sweetest dogs I have cared for.  He is hungry for affection, very puppish, gentle, gets along with other dogs (except he prefers to eat alone) and is not cat aggressive.  He is being crate-trained and does well on a leash.

Update 10/19/04 - Petie has been adopted.  He gained 9 lbs. in 2 months - now weighs 42 lbs.  His new home will be in St. Louis, Missouri - leaving 10/22/04.

Kibo's Home Sweet Home
He and his mom Connie take daily walks to the huge city park.  On weekends and holidays the family goes to their farm outside the city.
