Brandi's Story
"My foster mom told me to show my sweet face -
that it would help to find my forever home."
Feb. 5: Brandi is a 4/5 mos. old female - mother
Yorkshire Terrier - father Beagle.
Weight about 10 lbs. This little girl had a rough bout w/
parvo. She was admitted to the animal clinic on January 18 and came back into foster
care on Feb. 6. She lost a lot of weight as she was a plump little pup before
she became ill.
(Veterinary bill was $402.00 - Rasnic Animal Clinic in Duffield - Many thanks to the
clinic for the discount given on Brandi's extended care.) Brandi's coat is silky like a Yorkie's, but that broad little face must be like
her father's. Brandi is being crate trained and will be spayed and up-to-date on
immunizations before being adopted. (See April 6 update
below!)

Update: Feb. 16 "Brandi" is doing well, eating six meals per day <grin> and has gained weight. The cats "Tigger" and "Callie" love her! Brandi is being crate-trained, and she is very noisy when she decides she needs to go out.
Update: Feb. 20 This little girl is "personality plus". The crate-training is going very well. This mix should make a wonderful family pet. One of our rescue group make a cute suggestion saying "What we need to find is a couple where the hubby wants a Beagle, but the wife wants a Yorkie...and they can only have one dog!" Seriously, if you want a bundle of love and a puppy with some really charming and sometimes humourous ways...this is her. Does your cat need a playmate?
Update: April 6 Age now 6/7 months. Weight 20 lbs. SEE NEW PICS BELOW - taken April 6.

Brandi has been adopted (along with her "best buddy", Cassie). They are now living on a small horse farm in Fairfax County, Virginia. They love watching out the bay window for their "mom" or "dad" to return home, and have a "grandma" who is with them most of the time. A new fenced area for them to play in was recently built. They also enjoy going to the horse barn and run up and down the matted aisle. When their mom brings the horses out, they wait in the tack room. I hear that they even have their own sofa to share in the family room.
