Abandoned pup - found in middle of rural road.  This puppy was flea-infested with sores from the flea bites when found.  He also was very wormy.  There is a small "nip" - a notch in one ear, probably caused from being bitten by another dog/pup.

This lucky pup had a home waiting for him - a man in Florida that wanted to adopt a rescued dog instead of buying from a breeder.  He had been waiting for awhile because he really wanted a "baby" Beagle.  A Beagle rescue in Florida contacted Save Just One, saying that they had a preapproved application to adopt.  This little Beagle boy traveled to Florida in style.  His adopter was willing to pay to fly him.   However, Save Just One will not "ship" their dogs where they ride in the baggage compartment.  It was agreed that the pup could only fly if he was accompanied by a person who would be with him and carry him as carry-on baggage.  Then a rescue angel from Tennessee said that she would love to take the pup to Florida.  Mr. Hamel took care of the reservations and Sharon spent all day Feb. 2, 2005 flying to Orlando and back.  Mr. Hamel named him "ZIGGY".  Below are some pictures of Ziggy in his new home.

Ziggy is living the "good life" in Florida, apparently much loved by his people and canine friend.
